A new module is introduced Combat regeneration
Combat Regeneration (new)
This module adds a sense of preparation, not by forcing you to chug consumables in order to overcome the opponents strength, but by greatly limiting how much health regeneration you get from these items.
However a lowered health regeneration with nothing else in return would make all encounters extremely deadly, which is not the point of the module. Instead it's here to encourage you to approach the game in a more deliberate manner, where you think about the ongoing fight but also the impact it will have to the futures ones if you take too many hits now.
For this reason on top of the health regeneration decrease, Geralt receives only half the damage it would normally take so when you take a hit half the punishment comes as health loss and the other half comes later on as you'll try to heal it back.
Additionally food items last much longer than their intended duration and can also stack, you can for example eat two Bread which will result in two health regeneration effects that both last 20 minutes each. This gives you control over the amount of health and the speed at which it comes back for the scenarios where you may have to quickly heal back to full life without having to stare at the screen for twenty minutes, but doing so too often will come at a price as your food stock will quickly vanish.
General changes
- All mods are now merge free thanks to annotations, the mod is only compatible with the latest version of the game and its June 2024 update or later.
Balance changes
- Stamina module
- lower base stamina regeneration by 20%, from 50% of the vanilla value to 40%
- lower stamina regeneration per CROW stack (stamina regen when you hit an enemy) by 25%, from 20% of the vanilla regeneration per stack to 15%
- increase duration of CROW stacks by 50%, from 10 seconds to 15 seconds per stack
- Aggression module
- increase chances for enemies to attack when they're at high stamina levels by 50%, from an extra 100% to attack at max stamina to 150%
- Defense module
- initiating a parry removes 6 seconds to all currently active CROW stacks. To punish spamming parries that do not lead to successful counter-attacks
- performing a successful counter attack grants 12 seconds to all currently CROW stacks
