Wild Monster Hunt aims to bring the Monster Hunting experience to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It comes with a custom map, a Witcher camp for you to upgrade, and new unique mechanics to spice things up during your hunts.

Installing

  • new install: please refer to the install instruction on the main page
  • updating: drop the folders to overwrite the current ones, overwrite everything when prompted

Fixes

  • Loot containers glowing despite having no loot inside
  • Event NPCs dropping their merchant inventory, they no longer drop stuff
  • Contracts being completed multiple times if the designated target was killed numerous times during the hunt

Changes

  • Adjusted wildlife spawning logic so wildlife no longer take the place of regular monsters. A single location can host both monsters & wildlife now.
  • Lowered reputation level before the Witcher Medallion recipe is available
  • Reduce chances of seeing event NPCs by ~60%
  • Restored save locks, it is no longer possible to save mid hunt
  • Improved the out of bound logic to prevent being stuck when the player quickly enters one (for example by jumping in it)

WMH Map

  • Improved placing of various vegetation & small elements so they no longer float above ground level, thanks to Dennis on Discord for reporting tons of them
  • Improved ground textures on various roads to lower the amount of vegetation on them
  • Moved a few spawn points away from the Witcher Camp entrances for a more peaceful start of hunts
